成立宗旨
針對與大自然水流現象過程相關之水海能源、水資源利用與災害防治，以及水環境保育等三項課題深入研究探討，提供整合性的解決方案。以跨系、跨院及跨校整合研究人才，提供專業諮詢服務，開拓產學及建教合作計畫，研發專利並技術轉移，推廣中心研究教授及研究人員的研發成果，協助水利系在教學、研究上的進展，以達水利系和中心永續經營之目標。
本中心以成功大學水利系之教師、研究員和研究生為基礎，提供產官學研合作平台，廣泛吸納結合相關領域專業研究人員，如環工、資源、農業、資訊、電機、機械及社會、法規等，擴增研發能量、促成高新水科技之研發與推展。
