The College of Medicine and its affiliated hopsital were approved by the Executive Yuan in 1981 as one of the 14 major national construction projects at the time. It received their first group of medical students in 1983. Located in the eastern district of Tainan city, our college has earned its status as the most respected college of medical education, best health care provider, conduct cutting edge research in the southern part of Taiwan. Students are offered a vast selection of courses in various subjects besides medical sciences because we are part of the comprehensive university. As of now, our college has 6 undergraduate programs, 17 graduate degrees and 6 PhD programs. Our university is home to more than 20,000 students of which about 2,000 students are in the College of Medicine. We welcome the local and international health care students, professionals and faculty to become part of the NCKU College of Medicine family.
