The Department of Pharmacology, College of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University is consisted of two interconnected faculties: Division of Pharmacology in Department of Medicine, and Department of Pharmacology, College of Medicine. The Chairman is Dr. Ben-Kuen Chen, and the faculty members currently include six professors, two associate professors, three assistant professors. The main commitments of the department of Pharmacology are: (1) improving the quality of our country’s healthcare services through providing high quality pharmacological and biomedical education to students at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels; (2) producing world-class biomedical scientists through training of students with cutting edge research program in areas including tumorigenesis, anti-cancer drug development, drug-resistance, neuropharmacology, and metabolic disease. To provide a diversified learning environment, besides traditional and PBL-integrated lectures, internationally renowned scientists are frequently invited as guest speakers for our departmental seminars.
