Organisation profile

Diagnostic radiology is a medical specialization undertaking a range of imaging procedures to obtain images and to give non-invasive procedure while treating the patients. Due to the development of modern technology, medical imaging plays a more and more important role in clinical practices. The Department of Diagnostic Radiology, NCKUH, was initiated at the establishment of the Hospital in 1988. We provide comprehensive diagnostic imaging and interventional services, train the next generation of subspecialty radiologists, and carry out research that advances the state of the art in medical imaging. One of the main job is to train professional medical image physicians and education in general medical image for students. Therefore, the Department has a comprehensive training program for resident physicians in the hope of ensuring that each trained physician becomes an experienced and independent radiation expert after the exact training of four years and furthermore with the skill of passing on his or her experience to the coming generations.
