The department of Taiwanese Literature consists of a strong faculty team from diverse backgrounds. Our faculty members hold various academic degrees and represent a wide range of specialties, including modern/classical Taiwanese Literature, Taiwanese history, linguistics, cultural studies, sociology, and communication studies. We not only have professors with native doctorate degree in literature, but also professors who accomplished their Ph.D in foreign countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia in different fields of study, to promote international academic exchange. In addition to full-time professors, we also hire professors of practice to enrich our curriculum. Our department offers a set of comprehensive courses in Taiwanese Literature, focusing on collecting and organizing historical documents, and developing Taiwan-centered academic researches .
