為積極爭取並推展全校性大型研究計畫及國際合作研究計畫，協助教師爭取各項榮譽，
並主動企劃與整合校內研究，以提升全校研究能量，於民國103年8月設立學術發展組。
本組主要任務如下：
一、爭取國際大型合作研究計畫
二、爭取與國際頂尖大學/研究機構成立跨國研究中心
三、推展優質跨國研究
四、辦理學術研究補助
五、國家型及大型研究計畫之企劃與管考
六、辦理臺綜大研發工作圈
七、辦理本校彈性薪資之企劃與管考
八、辦理「研發替代役申請、進用與管理」
九、校內研發成果管考
十、辦理大型產學研究合作計畫之企劃與管考
十一、辦理本校發表於頂尖期刊論文之獎勵，並且協助推展其研究成果
十二、培育研發成果萌芽團隊，協助商品化與技轉業務
十三、辦理各科學工業園區管理局（含南科、中科、竹科園區）投資公司之設立與增加營運等審查案
（另含投資案複審會議與營運改善計畫審查案等）業務
十四、辦理教育部高等教育深耕計畫相關業務
