本計劃利用影像方式模擬空中而來的天敵威脅來誘發對小鼠生存至關重要的反應-內生性防禦行為。我們的前期數據強烈指出腸道共生菌對於威脅所引發之內生性防禦行為有關鍵性的影響,因此本計畫書利用了自然篩選、壓力模擬、腸道菌相技術、神經科學技術來審視腸道菌相如何調控威脅所引發的內生性防禦反應。近年來我國經常遭受軍機擾台、防空識別區及無人機的入侵,加上人民因疫情、失業、通膨造成生活壓力劇增,全國民眾的生活與安全都受到威脅。因此藉由尖端神經科學與腸腦軸的調控讓人們有適當且立即的防禦反應以提升國人的安全感及生存率。我們將致力於開發以腸道共生菌為基礎的補充品(益生菌、益生元等)來提升人民因應生活中威脅的應變能力。
