This research project title is Mahaprajnaparamitopadesa and Chinese Buddhist Philosophy: Understanding, Interpretation, and Integration. This project is the seventh sub-project of the integrated research project which title is The Religious Dimensions of Eastern and Western Philosophy: Ontology, Subjectivity-Theory, Hermeneutics. Professor Chief Investigator of Integrated Research Project is Professor Luh Jing-Jong who is teaching at Graduate Institute of Philosophy, National Central University. The aim of this research project is mainly an inquiry into HowMahaprajnaparamitopadesa influence the development and theoretical construction of Chinese Buddhist Philosophy. The main research approach is to investigate the distinctive interpretations of famous scholars based on the understandings, interpretations, and integration of Mahdprajndpdramitopadesa in the Context of Chinese Buddhist Philosophy. This three-year project will deal with the philosophical interpretations of Jizang, Zhiyi, Master Yin-shun, and Mou Tsung-San respectively. Furthermore, this project will elaborate on the relation between Mahaprajnaparamitopadesa and the development of the interpretations of Chinese Buddhist Philosophy. The expected research results and academic contributions of this proposal are expected to publish three journal papers in Chinese and two in English for future reference in the academic circle, and to advance the studies of relative issues further.
