Mechanistic Investigation of the Attenuation of Neuroinflammation Induced by Sciatic Nerve Stimulation in a Neuropathic Pain Rat Model-Focusing on the Dorsal Root Ganglia and Spinal Interneurons

From clinical perspective, the knowledge gained from these studies will help to advance the clinical application of potential integrated neuromodulatory approaches for treating patients with NP. From educational perspective, the students participating in this project will be educated on the principal knowledge of neurobiology, pain physiology, and electrophysiology. In addition, they will be trained in techniques in the fields of morphology, molecular biology, and behavior neuroscience. Starting in the second year, all the students and research personnel involved in this project will be expected to present their work at national and international meetings.
