Abstract

This study presents a design for an automatic cleaning system for solar module panels. The system utilizes two mechanisms: a day-night sensor and a timer to
trigger the Arduino-based automatic cleaning system. The cleaning components include high-pressure water sprayers and squeegees. The squeegees are arranged in an overlapping pattern, effectively removing dirt and protected by a patent. The system offers two modes: dirt removal and cooling, which can be enabled based on the specific requirements of the solar field to enhance power
generation efficiency. The system is installed behind the solar panels and does not require manual operation or equipment relocation during cleaning. This significantly reduces labor costs and demonstrates technical and market
feasibility. Moreover, the equipment cost of this system is lower compared to cleaning robots. When compared to industry-standard cleaning systems, this system proves to be cost-beneficial. Under similar scale conditions, the system achieves break-even three years earlier and has a higher internal rate of return (IRR) than industry counterparts, demonstrating its economic viability. It meets the cleaning requirements of various solar power plants in practical applications.
