Abstract

The extensive measurements, features and design of 2.4 GHz, 0.25 μm CMOS RFICs for an RF transceiver are presented. A single-mixer architecture was used to fabricate the 2.4 GHz CMOS RF transceiver. The transmitter RFIC includes two T/R switches and a power amplifier (PA). The receiver RFIC contains a passive switching mixer and a gain-controlled low noise amplifier. Analysis shows that the transmitter exhibits an output power of 11.5 dBm and a conversion gain of 7.8 dB.
