Abstract

In this study, a 3-dimensional representation is employed to characterize electrical property of the cell growth status for PC12. This can extend Electrical Bioimpedance Spectroscopy (EBIS) to multi-electrode application associated with position for increasing the special frequency. Traditionally, 2-dimensional Cole-Cole plot lack for the message of special frequency, especially in multi-electrode applications. A homemade multi-frequency bioimpedance system (MFBii) is integrated for measurement. Results revealed that the impedance between these electrode's pathways can be distinguished a difference from the 3D plot. The electrical property of biological object can be obtained by a set of Cole-Cole plots. This method could offer more information in cell growth, such as cell viability and proliferation monitoring.
