Abstract

A 2.4-GHz printed meander-line antenna for WLAN application is discussed. The space for the printed meander-line antenna is about 1cm × 2cm and the ground plate to emulate the RF board is about 5cm × 2cm. The meander shape has been tuned to resonate at GHz band. It is observed that the USB connector can be bended and the antenna on the WLAN card can have different position and orientation. The result shows that the notebook PC housing seems not possessing significant effect on the antenna patterns.
