Abstract

In this paper, a robust algorithm involving a changeable weighting matrix is proposed for static state estimation of electric power. In the estimation process, the exponential function is utilized to modify the variances of measurements so that the estimation performance can be improved when the power system encounters the bad data scenario. This proposed approach has been tested through the data collected from the operation of a power system. Test results show the feasibility of the method for the applications considered.
