Abstract

The target of this paper is to explore the strategy for power integration of a vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB)-based energy-storage system (ESS) into a wind turbine system (WTS) supplying DC loads, and to obtain the best integration-management scheme for green-energy applications. The power-variation compensation characteristics among the VRFB-based ESS, the DC load, and the WTS are also evaluated.
