A heat transfer and friction correlation for wavy fin-and-tube heat exchangers

Abstract

A generalized heat transfer and friction correlation for wavy fin geometry was developed from a total of 27 samples of fin-and-tube heat exchangers. The heat transfer correlation describes 95.1% of the test data within ±15% with a mean deviation of 6.44% while the friction correlation describes 97.3% of the results within ±15% with a mean deviation of 5.01%.
