Abstract

The concepts and methods of knowledge management (KM) can be employed in e-learning to improve the benefits of learning platform and e-learning effectiveness. In this study, a KM-Based e-Learning model, based on problem-based learning and case learning, and supplemented by the KM theory, was developed as the basis for the planning and design of a KM-Based e-Learning platform. This study aims at providing practical teaching knowledge through knowledge elicitation, integration, management and sharing to support pre-service and in-service teachers in developing practical knowledge of mathematics teaching for students with mild disabilities to effectively improve mathematics teaching in special education.
