Abstract
In this letter, a modular approach is proposed to compute the capacity factor of wind turbine generators, with which the systematic calculation under manufacturing data can be performed with a higher flexibility. This proposed approach has been compared with existing methods through site wind speed data. Test results help confirm the feasibility of the method for wind source assessment applications.
