Abstract

One of critical concerns in the operation of the photovoltaic system is the maximum power point (MPP) tracking problem that increases the economical feasibility of the system. This letter presents a tracking method using the quadratic polynomial to perform a MPP tracker of a given photovoltaic array. With the method, the maximum power calculation ismade froma quadratic manner that it convergences significantly accelerated.
