Abstract
A random switching method for overcoming the unequal switching loss problem in conventional hybrid pulse width modulation (HPWM) full-bridge inverters was proposed. The proposed method equalized the switching losses of the four switches and exhibited good performance. The voltage and current stresses of the switches were also equalized by commutation.
