A robust and high resolution adaptive eigensubspace algorithm for nonstationary environments

Abstract

A robust and high-resolution adaptive eigensubspace algorithm which generalizes the inflation method is proposed. The convergence and initialization behavior of the algorithm and its parallelization surpass those of the Pisarenko harmonic retrieval (PHR) algorithm and other adaptive algorithms, if the number of sources is not known. The algorithm is suitable for the adaptive processing needed for tracking nonstationary signal parameters.
