Abstract

We report a simple and scalable biomimetic approach for conformal surface modification of a nanostructured substrate. Conformal coating of a TiO2layer with a thickness of 5-7 nm effectively tackles notorious chemical-instability inherent to WO3at neutral pH. The developed approach serves as a promising alternative to the atomic layer deposition technique.
