Abstract

The paper presents a simple life cycle assessment method by using a neural network technique during the product conceptual design stage. The designer can use this method to forecast the data of life cycle assessment of a new product for reducing environmental impact. Details of the neural network model and two product examples are described to illustrate the capabilities of the proposed method.
