N2 - One purpose of ATMS is discovering the bottlenecks and taking some actions to improve global performance of traffic network. However, traffic bottlenecks vary with spatial and temporal environment, which make them not easy to define and discover. A spatiotemporal traffic bottlenecks mining model is proposed in this paper, which utilizes the raw data in location based services and thus has the cost and coverage advantages comparing to the traditional methods. This model is able to discover the STB as well as finds out the time sequence association rule between the congestion areas, which provides useful decision information for ATMS administrators.
