A study of manufacturing strategies for LED lighting product design

Abstract

Product design should consider the evolution of product technologies, through the platform development could avoid repeated design and outdated key parts. The innovation of SMEs based on new product developments, they are increasingly using systematic, technological and logistics management to design products for manufacturing (DFM), to enhance the overall performance of product design and production systems. In general, the delivery time of complex parts is long. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the number of components and integrate into specific functional components to reduce manufacturing costs, shorten delivery time, improve quality and reduce costs, and enhance enterprise competition. And product design is the first step in the manufacturing process, but also determine the final cost of the main reason. This research is based on a case study through the manufacturing strategy, and logistic management to improve the thermal component design for LED lighting products, it also reduces the costs, so that enterprises could get the best profits.
