Abstract

Combines a one-dimensional river flood routing model with a three-dimensional coastal storm surge model and a typhoon model into a single numerical model. Describes how to simulate floods and storm surges using river data and typhoon weather data. Shows how the model can be applied to tidal rivers without tidal gauges, for flood control management, taking the TanShui River as an example. (from authors' abstract)
