Abstract

A novel berbine alkaloid, (+-)-pallimamine, as well as four known alkaloids, protopine, α-allocryptopine, (+-)-tetrahydropalmatine, and (-)-capaurimine, have been isolated from the whole herb of Corydalis pallida var. sparsimamma. The structure of (+-)-pallimamine was established from spectral data in conjunction with a single-crystal X-ray analysis.
