N2 - This paper proposes an approach in objected concept to encrypt the object description information of MPEG-4 streams. It is an format-compliant algorithm with MPEG-4 streams. Without proper key to decrypt, the decoder mistakenly interprets the object descriptors to construct the video object in the frame. It selectively chooses objects to encrypt, which reduces the volume of data to be encrypted, which make it simple and efficient.
