Abstract

In this paper, we propose a new broadcast indexing structure AMI (Access Mode Indicator) such that allow mobile clients to determine the time interval of active and sleep mode for connection according to turnaround time. Our goal is to develop a data retrieve protocol that allows mobile users to acquire more valuable data with little power consumption within a limited turnaround time. The experimental results show that our approach outperforms the traditional indexes (enhanced for wireless broadcast) and especially gets 75% saving on waiting time.
