An inexact Newton analysis of infinite nonlinearly loaded antenna arrays

Abstract

The inexact Newton approach and an infinite periodic structure Green's function including the array mutual coupling effects is presented to analyze the steady state scattering response of large nonlinearly loaded antenna array under multi-tones excitation. They are based on the method of moments, and then use the inexact Newton approach and an infinite periodic structure Green's function to solve the resulting equivalent circuit. The analysis is numerically efficient since it do not directly deal with the inverse Jacobian matrix and the array mutual coupling effect is included in an infinite periodic structure Green's function. Therefore, it is especially suitable for large periodic nonlinearly loaded antenna array under multi-tones excitation.
