Abstract

In this paper, an LSTM neural network for estrus detection in dairy cows is proposed. The proposed LSTM model detects estrus in dairy cows based on their eating, activity, and resting times throughout the day, thus minimizing the impact on the cows. The proposed LSTM model achieves an area under the receiver operator characteristic curve of 0.89, demonstrating excellent performance in estrus detection for dairy cows.
