N2 - This paper presents a single-stage AC-DC boost-flyback converter that achieves an almost unity power factor and adjusts DC output voltage. Two parallel-connection modules are used to increase the output power of the proposed converter. Each module is a single-stage AC-DC boost-flyback converter. The proposed converter employs the interleaved technique to reduce the ripple of input- and output-current. The operating principle of the proposed converter is discussed in detailed. Finally, a prototype circuit is implemented in the laboratory to verify its performance.
