N2 - In this paper, DS-UWB systems will be employed in dispersive channels. Due to the serious dispersive effect of multipath channels, DS-UWB systems with equalization are also considered. We propose an MMSE equalizer for solving the intersymbol interference (ISI), and this equalizer needs no statistical measurement. We also consider an equalizer of only essential partial taps to reduce the complexity of filter, and the simulation results show that the resulted performance is almost the same as the filter of all taps. The simulation of bit-error probability of DS-UWB systems in the dispersive channel verifies the analysis.
