Abstract

This paper analyzes four types of load transfer in the radial distribution system with tie lines of Taiwan power company (TPC). Type I is the two feeders tied and were fed by the same transformer located in the same secondary substation. Type II is the two feeders tied and were fed by two different transformers located in the same secondary substation. Type III is the two feeders tied and were fed by two different transformers located in different secondary substations. Type IV is the two feeders tied and were fed by two different transformers, one is located in a distribution substation and the other is located in a secondary substation. The test results are recorded and summarized to determine the effective scheme of load transfer without power interruptions. As a result, Type I is the most simple method to eliminate customers' interruption during load transfer.
