Abstract

A discussion on the use of the apple residue as a starting material, high surface area carbon was presented. Completely different characteristics of specific area of carbon from that of wood chips was shown by the constituents and the special structure of apple residue. Higher specific area of the apple residue resulted due to smaller size apple residue and higher carbonization temperature.
