Abstract
A planar model and a three-dimensional model for the dynamics of human motion during the double limb support (DLS) phase of gait were developed. Computer simulation of the models was used to study Functional Neuromuscular Stimulation of gait in paraplegics. The simulations showed that the DLS phase was sensitive to changes in some joint moments, but relatively insensitive to changes in others.
