Abstract

The authors present an algorithmic and architectural extension to an existing CAD tool that enables it to produce high-throughput infinite-duration impulse-response (IIR) filters. Because it is application-specific, it is a very-high-level CAD tool. The system, which is based on the look-ahead computation concept, reduces the costs of very high throughput IIR filters with respect to design, fabrication, and operation.
