Abstract

This paper presents a charge-pump auxiliary power supply for sourcing the control IC of a buck converter without any additional magnetic device. The prototype of a 48V buck converter with this charge-pump auxiliary power supply is implemented to validate the performance of the proposed circuit. The application of the proposed charge-pump auxiliary power supply can be extended to other converters, such as the buck-boost and the Zeta.
