Abstract
Highlights An active learning method for students to learn the causes behind code-similarity.The result confirms the positive aspects of code-similarity found in programming course.Positive aspects of code-similarity can be used in improving quality of teaching.Tools for easing students in actively learning causes of code-similarity are designed.
