Boundary integral equation method applied to free surface flow problems.

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

The objectives of this paper are to briefly review the fundamental concepts of the BIEM and to demonstrate its applications by showing the solutions for a sluice gate flow problem and transient free surface groundwater problem. For the former, results are compared with those obtained using the finite element method. For the transient free surface flow problem, the treatment of the nonlinear free surface boundary conditions is given and the stability of the time integration is discussed.
