Broadband polymer 3-dB coupler using shortcut to adiabaticity based optimization

Abstract

We propose a scheme to optimize the adiabaticity of 3-dB couplers for broadband operation. Using shortcut to adiabaticity, a 3-dB coupler with a maximum imbalance of 0.2 dB from 1.25 to 1.6 μm is obtained.
