Abstract
In recent years, the author has developed some differential quadrature (DQ)-basis discrete numerical methods for solving generic scientific and engineering problems defined by differential fundamental relations. These methods are generic differential guadrature (GDQ), extended differential quadrature (EDQ) and the related discrete element analysis methods, These novel numerical techniques are efficient and reliable. They are suitable for developing solution algorithms for solving various offshore mechanics and engineering problems.
