Abstract
The procedure of conceptual design of hybrid transmissions for motorcycle applications is described in this paper. The topological structures of hybrid transmissions are created on the basis of the v-belt drive continuously variable unit and simple differential gears. Four design concepts of hybrid transmission systems are synthesized. A design example is provided to prove the feasibility of the proposed concept.
