Abstract
Ineffective control systems are one major reason for inadequate design performance. An effective control system should be able to provide process feedback in addition to the result feedback and help analyse causes. However, proper process and result measures are lacking in traditional control systems. This paper presents a performance measure and control points model to complement traditional systems in controlling and improving the design performance. This model can link design results and processes to find reasons for inadequacy.
