Abstract

In this study, we report the growth of Cu2O thin films prepared by chemical bath deposition (CBD). It was also found that the Cu2O mostly crystal planes changed from (200) to (111) as the concentration increased. Furthermore, we used the CBD method to fabricate the Cu2O thin film in order to show that grain size and thickness could be well controlled. The CBD technique has good step coverage. The results were confirmed by XRD, SEM, and CL measurement. The thin films are p-type and potentially useful for photovoltaic applications.
