Abstract

The need for integrity management in design is reviewed. The features that support integrity management are presented for EDM-2, a data model and database for product modeling. The features include constraints that check the status of rules, specific structures for representing the knowledge embedded in applications and automatic constraint management logic. An example is included from concrete design.
