Abstract

This paper presents an alternative design for the slotless winding of micro brushless motors. The slotless type motors have several advantages, such as no cogging, high efficiency, and compact structure. However, the winding manufacture process is quite complicated. Thus, this paper proposes to design the slotless winding on the flexible printed circuit boards (FPCBs) to obtain a simplified but qualified result. And the experimental test of the prototypes is also developed to verify the design.
