Abstract

A 2.4-GHz meander-line printed antenna was designed for USB WLAN-Card with Notebook-PC Housing. The HFSS three-dimensional (3D) EM simulator was used for design simulation. The antenna was fabricated on a double-sided FR-4 printed circuit board for experimental measurements. The notebook PC housing consists of a display, the screen and the keyboard. The simulated results show that the notebook PC housing have no significant effect on the antenna patterns.
