Abstract
The objective of this research was to construct a highly efficient biointerface. The surface was constructed by the coimmobilization of the PEG and PNIPAM, in which PEG reduced non-specific adsorption of biocomponents such as protein and antibody, PNIPAM caused temperature sensitivity on the surface. Using amoni-containing PNIPAM, we synthesized two types of PNIPAM derivatives, PNIPAM possessing mercapto group (PNIPAM-SH) and PNIPAM possessing both mercapto group and biotin moiety. By the consecutive treatment of PNIPAM-SH and MeOPEG-SH, PEG/PNIPAM coimmobilized surface was constructed. The obtained surface showed extremely low non-specific BSA adsorption regardless of the temperature. Using this coimmobilized surface, streptavidin response was controlled by the environmental temperature effectively. The surface possessing the coimmobilization of the PEG and PNIPAM is expected thermo response biointerface.
