Design of vision and strategy decision system for 2008 AndroSot

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to design and implement a vision system and strategy decision method of a robot soccer system for an autonomous soccer robot in AndroSot. For the vision problems, we propose a systematic windowing search method to process segmentation of images in our robot soccer system. This vision system includes five modules, which are image segmentation module, global windowing blob analysis module, local windowing blob analysis module, robot orientation module, and robot identification module. For strategy decision system, a vector field method is developed to navigate the Android and perform the obstacle avoidance in the robot soccer system. Moreover, the system can figure out the target destination and execute shooting function.
